Our Goal: YESHAI’S VILLAGE OF PEACE

Yeshai Fields Charity LogoIn San Agustin, Quezalguaque, Nicaragua there is a small community of homeless families currently living in extreme poverty which most of us cannot even begin to comprehend. Amongst this impoverished community, you will find 60 families that need our help. These people seek refuge from where they can sleep free of garbage, rodents, and disease. The current fundraising goal will provide housing for this 300 plus population, and will also establish a farm large enough to feed the village. The organization has found donors that will match and double the size of the homes we build. Our mission is to develop a self-sustaining village by providing these beautiful people with housing, water wells, a farm, a school, and a medical clinic. Homes will be built simultaneously, and in 3-4 months time we will cut the ribbon to a new beginning, “Yeshai’s Village of Peace.”

Eulogy:

Yeshai Fields was born on May 24th, 1982, five minutes after his twin brother Nadav, in the picturesque town of Tiberias, Israel on the western shores of the Sea of Galilee. Yeshai was raised on a sheep farm until the age of 5, when his family then immigrated to Coral Springs, Florida. The younger twin blossomed becoming an excellent student, an avid soccer fan and player as well as developing an indelible popularity that would last a lifetime. Yeshai graduated from Majory Stoneman Douglas High School in 2000 and matriculated to the University of Florida the following fall to begin studies in finance. He received his degree in finance in 2004 and gained entry into the University of Miami’s Law Schoolin 2007, receiving his doctorate in jurisprudence in 2010. At the time of his passing, Yeshai was seeking a position as a public defender with the goal of furthering his education as a Juris Doctor and helping people less fortunate than himself.

Yeshai Fields in India 2010

Yeshai Fields was a man of principle, believing that life should be lived with the goal of helping people of all walks of life, developing unbreakable bonds of friendship and camaraderie, and living life with a smile on his face. Yeshai had such charisma that naturally attracted all types of people. People did not simply want to be in his presence, they yearned to be among him. His spirit was intoxicating and his aura was infectious. Yeshai had the special talent of seeping his way into your heart and making us see the good in all things. His smile was magical and a sparkling reminder that the beauty of human emotion can captivate us all.

Yeshai was a champion of living life to the fullest and helping others to do the same. Through his travels of the world he spread his jovial spirit and love across the earth. He frolicked around the Giza pyramids, sun bathed in Thailand, cheered his favorite soccer players in Rio, and toasted champagne with South Beach’s finest. Following his lead, we all learned to balance our lives by forging forward and never looking back, all the while trying to build our own legacies with happiness in our hearts and a smile on our faces.

We honestly believe that the most cherished thing in Yeshai Fields’ life was the bonds of friendship and camaraderie that he developed between his family and his friends. Yeshai was a worthy friend. So great he was at listening, supporting, and just being a positive influence in the lives of so many. Nothing, not school, not work, or any obligation dared to be an obstacle to the friendship and love that Yeshai provided. The magnanimity he displayed showed his quality and is something that we all should strive to achieve.

The memory of Yeshai Fields will live on. Like a picturesque sunrise on the sea of eternity, you are a constant in our lives that will never be forgotten. Our love for you is undeniable, insurmountable, and to this day flourishes even in the absence of your physical being. We dream of you, envisioning ourselves holding you one last time, shaking your hand one last time, and gracing us with your presence just one last time. Our senses are now calm, free of all that is partial and impure. And as we travel down that winding road, invigorated by a new sense of tranquility, we listen for your heavenly whispers, hope to feel your magnetic touch, knowing that one day our veils will be lifted and your shining smile and beautiful being will be there to greet us.
